The Gansevoort South Hotel, Spa and Residences building, an 1960s art deco relic, will be redesigned to feature among other areas, 334 hotel rooms and a 26,000-square-foot tropical rooftop retreat that will mimic its counterpart Hotel Gansevoort in New York City.
The building will also feature a 40,000-square-foot infinity-edge pool with teak decking, palm trees, oversized circular beds, with plush cabanas and tented alcoves, an oversized Jacuzzi and bar and restaurant on the main level.
The beach level will include the club’s main bar, seating area, oversized lounges, cabanas, volleyball courts and fire pits, and coco palm trees, cabanas, a bar and lounge, and a 110-foot elevated swimming pool will cover the rooftop.
